Expand description

A typed, device-local request from app content to shell chrome. Keeping this on the common app contract lets both in-process tiles and future IPC adapters use one destination without an app reaching into compositor state or pretending a status toast completed the navigation.

Variants§

§

MoveDeviceDisplay

Fields

§request: DeviceDisplayMove
§

ShowWorkspaceActivity

Fields

§resource_id: String
§version_id: Option<[u8; 16]>
§entry: Option<HistoryEntry>

A factual app-native event that may not yet be part of the shell’s CRDT record index. This makes the handoff exact instead of opening an empty resource lens while the durable indexes converge.

§

OpenSearch(SearchRequest)

Open the platform search scoped to this app (or one part of it), with the query already typed. The shell focuses the source tab first.

§

OpenDocument

A Files-selected local document. The shell validates and admits it only after the originating tile has released its record loan.

§

AllowHostShell

Terminal asks for the device’s own shell, which the person has not allowed on this device yet. The shell raises its permission prompt and records the answer where the shell runtime reads it.
