ReadingFace

Enum ReadingFace

pub enum ReadingFace {
    Default,
    Libertinus,
    Literata,
    Garamond,
    SourceSerif,
}
Expand description

A reading face the system ships, chosen by name in a theme’s type role or by a reader in an app that sets long-form text (Books). Each is set through the Reading role’s family, so its optical sizes, features and script fallbacks work like the default’s.

FaceOptical sizes
Default, New Computer Modern8 pt cut for small text, Book for body text, Regular for titles
Libertinus, Libertinus Seriftext cut, Display cut for large upright text
Literataopsz axis
Garamond, EB Garamondone design
SourceSerif, Source Serif 4opsz axis

Implementations§

§

impl ReadingFace

pub const ALL: [ReadingFace; 5]

pub const fn name(self) -> &'static str

The name a theme document stores and a reader is shown.

pub const fn family(self) -> &'static str

The font family the face is set in. Pass it as the family of a Reading style; the toolkit picks the face’s optical cut per size.

pub fn from_name(name: &str) -> Option<ReadingFace>

The face a theme document or a reader’s setting names: by face name, family name, or Default.
