The window area content is seen through while it is being placed: the viewport of the nearest enclosing scroll view (intersected with any outer one), or None when nothing clips it. A collection reads it in Widget::apply_layout to keep only the rows near what is shown laid out; drawing culls against PresenceCtx::should_cull instead.
