Module chromium

Module chromium

Expand description

Chromium helper transport, independent of native CEF build dependencies.

Modules§

install
Asking the host to install the engine runtime.
runtime
Where the Chromium engine lives.

Structs§

ChromiumEngine
A real Chromium process. Initialization errors are returned to the caller; this type never creates a simulated engine or weakens Chromium’s sandbox.
UnavailableEngine
Error-only surface used when the engine is not installed or cannot start. It never renders a page and answers navigation with its message, which is written for the person using the app.

Constants§

PRIVATE_ROOT_HELPER
The engine helper’s pid, written once it runs inside the root.
PRIVATE_ROOT_LOCK
Writers hold this file shared and cleanup holds it exclusive.
PRIVATE_ROOT_MARKER
PRIVATE_ROOT_MARKER_CONTENT
PRIVATE_ROOT_PREFIX
A private window’s disposable root is a temp directory named with this prefix that holds PRIVATE_ROOT_MARKER reading PRIVATE_ROOT_MARKER_CONTENT; only such a root is ever removed.

Functions§

is_owned_private_root
Whether root is a private window root Browser allocated: a real directory with the prefix and an intact marker, never a symlink.
release_private_root
Remove a private window’s disposable root that no engine will use, if it is one Browser owns.
serve_shared_until_idle
Blocks while other Browser processes still use a Chromium host this process runs, then stops serving them; a host none of this process’s engines still uses shuts down before this returns.
