Module environment
Expand description
Host inputs — who the process is, where its files live, and how its user asked to be served.
Toolkit code takes these from environment (or from constructor
parameters such as ui::record::RecordSet::open_in) rather than
reading the process environment itself. Only the native runner derives
them from the process — environment variables, the settings file — in
ui::native::services::process_environment. Another host installs its
own with install_environment.
